Sustainable Development Group International - 05 Nov, 2009
The Building Bridges Coalition Working Group on Effective Practices has finished the 'Global Service Effective Practice Survey' for Volunteering. As a member of the Working Group, SDGI is now distributing the survey.
The workgroup contains representatives from global nonprofit organizations, government agencies, for-profit companies, and universities involved in international exchange and services.
The Building Bridges Coalition (BBC), a project under the Brookings Institution's Initiative on International Volunteering and Service, is now seeking your expertise for a major study on Effective Practices in International Volunteering. With the aim of gathering critical information for improving the quality and maximizing the positive impacts of international volunteer service in communities around the world, we now ask you to share your expertise and experiences.
By gathering lessons learned and effective practices from as many high-quality global volunteer-sending and volunteer-engaging organizations as possible, our goal is to compile, analyze, and disseminate useful and concise information about the important work that you have been involved in and create a practical forum through which we can learn from one another in future practices.
We estimate that this survey will take approximately 30 minutes of your time. Please note that all responses will remain anonymous.
We are truly grateful for your time and participation in this collective endeavor and for the contribution that you are making toward the support and expansion of international volunteering around the world!
