Art at CityHeart

Art at Cityheart is a social initiative created in co-operation with CityHeart, a cardiology centre in the heart of Stockholm. CityHeart has together with SDGI since 2007 provided a living space for organizations, social entrepreneurs and artists to promote their work. CityHart has previously hosted the SDGI campaign 'Children of the Americas' as well as a 'Future and Dreams' in co-operation with SDGI and Save the Children- Sweden.

 

SDGI and CityHeart are currently hosting an exhibition by internationally acclaimed Guatemalan painter Estoardo Barrios Carrillo.

 

Mr. Barrios Carrillo has been awarded the ‘Glifo de Plata' of the Paiz Art Biennial in Guatemala, and the ‘VI International Art Biennial in Cuenca/Ecuador'. He has acted as a strong ambassador for artistic exchange between Latin America and Europe in the capacity of curator for ‘Suecia Exotika, Swedish Graphic' (exhibited in eight countries in Latin America) and ‘Sweden/Caribbean Art'.

 

Mr..Barrios Carrillo has worked with various museums including Stockholm Museum of Modern Art and the Stockholm Ethnographical Museum, and held exhibits at, amongst other, The Paiz Museum of Modern Art in Guatemala, The Culture House in Puebla city in México, The House of Dance in Stockholm, The Bohus gallery, The Väsby Art Salon in Sweden, The Music Museum and the Artist Home in Stockholm, as well as the Second International Painting Biennial in Upplands Väsby, Sweden.
