Sustainable Development Group International identifies local participation and ownership of projects and developmental strategies as paramount in achieving the Millennium Development Goals.

 

SDGI believes that the best governed projects are those in which communities are encouraged to take an active part in identifying needs and formulating solutions. SDGI utilizes participatory models for project design and implementation in order to generate the necessary commitment and consistency needed for communities to assume local ownership of their economic and social development.
