Valerie Nussenblatt

Background, Interest, Experience:
Valerie works in the Justice Reform Practice Group in the Legal Vice Presidency at the World Bank in Washington, DC. The Group’s role is to provide advice and support to Bank operations and develop Bank knowledge, policy and strategy on justice reform.

 

Valerie has previously worked as a consultant with IRIS Centre, at the University of Maryland, where she examined comparative country experiences with Regulatory Impact Analysis (RIA) and public-private dialogue in transition countries. She also worked in Cape, Town, South Africa at the Legal Resources Centre, a human rights organization, and IDASA, a public interest organization promoting democracy and social justice; and in Brussels, Belgium, where she worked in the research department at the International Crisis Group.

 

Education:
Valerie holds a JD from the University of Maryland School of Law, and an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She received her BA degree in History and International Relations from Brown University.
